Fred's at the Gate...let him in! Fred Axelrod, longtime member, supporter, and photo contributor to our website, is shown here (with his FredSox Shirt) along the path of the temporary art installation - 'The Gates, Central Park, New York, 1979-2005,' created by the artists, Christo and Jeanna Claude. Fred got to see this much publicized art happening, up close, on the last day of it's 16 day run. The 7,500 'Gates' spanned 23 mile of pathways in Central Park.
